Q: What is the maximum level for Animals??
We’ve raised the maximum Animal level from 7 to 10! You can now keep upgrading your favorite Wildlife Animals to unlock better bonuses, new Coats, Portraits, and a special Crystal mastery look at Level 10. THis feature is available to players on version 3.12.0 and above.
Q: Which Animals can reach Level 10?
All currently obtainable Animals will be eligible for the new levels, however new levels will roll out over the coming months, so not every Animal will get them at the same time. The first Animals to be able to level up past 7 are in the Green Egg!
Q: Do I need to update my app?
Yes! Make sure you’re running the latest version of Wordscapes to access new Animal levels and the updated Shiny Egg experience.
Levels & Rewards
Q: What do I earn at each new level?
At Level 8, your Animal gets a new Coat. At Level 9, you earn a unique Animal Portrait (animated for Rare and Epic Animals!). At Level 10, your Animal gets another new Coat plus a Crystal visual treatment that signals full mastery.
Q: What is the Crystal mastery look?
When any Animal reaches Level 10, it receives a special Crystal visual theme. This is a universal treatment shared by all max-level Animals — it’s designed to be instantly recognizable and is the ultimate badge of a fully leveled Animal.
Q: Do my Animal bonuses keep improving at the new levels?
Yes! Activity bonuses like Bees, Binoculars, Brilliance, Cocoons, Heart Gems, and Stars all continue to scale through Levels 8–10.
Q: Where can I find my Animal Portraits?
All Animal portraits earned through Wildlife live in a dedicated Portrait Collection, which you can find in the Portraits area. This collection is visible to all players.
Shiny Eggs
Q: What’s new with Shiny Eggs?
We’ve streamlined the Shiny Egg experience to make hatching faster and smoother. The buttons are now aligned for easy tapping, and after hatching you’ll return to the Shiny Egg screen so you can keep going without extra steps.
Q: What is the x10 Shiny Egg option?
The x10 option lets you hatch a Shiny Egg for 5,500 Heart Gems. You’ll still open 3 eggs, but all rewards are multiplied by 10. It’s a great way to make faster progress if you’ve got a big Heart Gem stash.
Q: I bought the x10 option but only saw 3 eggs. Is that right?
Yes! The x10 option multiplies your rewards, not the number of eggs. You’ll notice the Animal counts during the hatch are 10 times higher than normal. Look for the “x10” indicator on screen during the sequence.
Q: What if my Animal levels up more than once from a x10 hatch?
Great news — that can happen! If your Animal gains enough duplicates to jump multiple levels, the reward sequence will show your Animal at its highest new level. Any leftover duplicates carry over toward the next level.
Q: What happens to extra duplicates if my Animal hits max level?
If your Animal reaches its maximum level during a hatch, any excess duplicates are automatically refunded as Heart Gems.
Troubleshooting
Q: I don’t see new levels for my Animals. What’s going on?
New levels are rolling out gradually over the coming months. Make sure you’re on the latest version of Wordscapes. If you’ve updated and still don’t see them, your Animals may be included in a future wave. Stay tuned!
Q: I leveled my Animal to 9 but didn’t get a portrait. Help!
During the Level 9 level-up sequence, a “Portrait Unlocked!” banner should appear with the option to equip your new portrait. Check the Portrait Collection in Wildlife to see if it’s already been added. If you’re still experiencing issues, please contact our support team with your Player ID.
Q: The new info button on the Wildlife screen — what does it show?
Tapping the “i” button shows you detailed information about your Animal’s current bonuses, which activities earn those bonuses, and what the Animal’s max level is. If your Animal is already at max level, it will let you know that the Animal is earning the maximum rewards and bonuses.
