What are Bear Gems? 
These are special gems/currency in Wordscapes that are essential to hatch the Polar Egg (Christmas Egg). By earning enough Bear Gems, you can either hatch or upgrade the Santa Claws (polar bear).
Why do I need Bear Gems?
Bear gems are needed to hatch the Polar Egg and unlock shards to level up your Santa Claws.
Are the Bear Gems unlimited?
After completing 40 puzzles in a day, you will no longer earn Bear Gems with the Daily Booster multiplier. However, with the Daily Booster active, you will continue to earn 1 Bear Gem for each puzzle completed beyond the initial 40.
How can I earn Bear Gems?
You can earn the currency by playing and completing levels in Wordscapes. However, just like the regular heart gems, the amount you will receive decreases the more levels you complete in a single day. But don’t worry; the amount is reset daily.
What are the other ways to earn Bear Gems?
Bear gems can be earned in different ways throughout the game:
- Participating in Holiday and Daily Dash to get rewards (per scheduled event)
- Daily Rewards
- Milestone Rewards
- Bear Gem Daily Booster will help to boost your Bear Gems rewards from the level completion (but remember, you can get Bear Gems only from 40 levels per day)
- In-game store in exchange for coins
- In-app purchases through bundles from the store
- Weekday Warm-Up Tournament rewards
Do Bear Gems expire?
They do. Since this is a limited-time event, the Bear gems will only be available for December and will be replaced by a new currency for the next holiday. That said, you will have to use them all up before the event ends.

Where can I see how many Bear Gems I have?
You can view your current balance by tapping the Polar Egg on your in-game home screen. The balance should be visible at the top left corner of the screen.
I purchased Santa Claws last year. Is there a point to get Bear Gems?
Definitely! The Bear Gems would be exchanged for Heart Gems when you hatch the Polar Egg.
