What are Cat Gems? 
These are special gems/currency in Wordscapes that are essential to hatch the Spooky Egg (Halloween Egg). By earning enough Cat Gems, you can either hatch or upgrade the Spooky Black Cat.
Why do I need Cat Gems?
Cat gems are needed to hatch the Spooky Egg and unlock shards to level up your Spooky Black Cat.
Are the Cat Gems unlimited?
The Cat Gems is not unlimited, and the amount you can earn per day is limited. You can earn a specific amount of Cat Gems depending on how many puzzles you complete on the day. At some point, after completing 40 puzzles for the day, you will stop earning the Cat Gems, even with your Daily Booster active.
How can I earn Cat Gems?
You can earn the currency by playing and completing levels in Wordscapes. However, just like the regular heart gems, the amount you will receive decreases the more levels you complete in a single day. But don’t worry, the amount resets daily.
What are the other ways to earn Cat Gems?
Cat gems can be earned in different ways throughout the game:
- Participating in Holiday and Daily Dash to get rewards
- Daily Rewards
- Milestone Rewards
- Cat Gem Daily Booster will help to boost your Cat Gems rewards from the level completion (but remember, you can get Cat Gems only from 40 levels per day)
- In-game store in exchange for coins
- In-app purchases through bundles from the store
- Weekday Warm-Up Tournament rewards
Do Cat Gems expire?
They do – since this is a limited-time event, the Cat gems will only be available for the whole month of October and will be replaced by a new currency for the next Holiday. That said, you will have to use them all up before the event ends.
Where can I see how many Cat Gems I have?
You can view your current balance by tapping the Spooky Egg on your in-game home screen. The balance should be visible at the top left corner of the screen.
I purchased Spooky Black Cat last year. Is there a point to get Cat Gems?
Definitely! The Cat Gems would be exchanged for Heart Gems when you hatch the Halloween Egg.
