Yes, just tap on the background near the lower center of the screen. Also, if you wish to have the status bar always displayed please do the following:

1. From the main menu, tap on ‘Options’. 
2. Scroll to ‘Interface’.
3. Switch ‘Show Status Bar’ to ON.
