SUMMARY:
Teams allow players to band together to earn special rewards, socialize, compete in weekly Team League Tournaments, and win access to special In-Game Perks! They open up after Level 100, which allows players to get a good sense of how the game works before joining one.
Once you're eligible for Teams, you'll receive instructions on what they are and how they work.
BENEFITS OF JOINING A TEAM
There are many great reasons to join a Team. Here are a few you’ll enjoy right away:
Earn 10% Extra Brilliance: Boost your Brilliance to climb higher in Solo League Tournaments.
Increased Perks: As your team wins tournaments and advances to higher leagues, you’ll receive greater perks, like in your Daily Rewards:
Unlock the Team Chest: Work with up to 10 teammates to open your daily Team Chest—each one packed with coins and boosters for everyone!
Make Friends, Learn New Things: Use Team Chat to connect, strategize, and make new friends.
JOINING A TEAM
Once you're ready to join a team, you'll find the team icon on the left of your home screen:
To join a Team, simply tap the Team icon, and you'll see a popup that asks you if you'd like to join the team that the game has suggested for you, or if you'd prefer you can tap the Find a Team, or the Create a Team and either join another team or create your own.

At first, the game will guide you through everything you need to know about Teams. The popup below explains that to ascend, your team must earn Team Points by collecting Brilliance during weekly Team Tournaments. As your team climbs the leagues, you’ll unlock better rewards and unique Team Perks. Reaching the top leagues also earns your team Prestige — which lets you expand your team size.:
TOURNAMENTS
Now, in addition to Solo Tournaments, you can also compete in Team Tournaments! Tap the Leagues icon (the Trophy) to see both.
From there, you can check your progress in each tournament and tap Leaderboard to see how you rank against other players and teams.
TEAM PLAY
Teams with 10 or more players qualify to compete in the weekly Team League Tournaments. Players work together as a team to earn as many Team Points as possible, collected by earning Brilliance from completing levels and Daily Challenges. During the event, you’ll be able to see where you rank within your team:
CHAT
And you’ll be able to chat with your teammates to discuss things like strategy, gameplay, or even your Aunt Gretchen’s hazelnut torte recipe! In the upper navigation bar, you’ll see three tabs: My Team, Chat, and Search. Tap the Chat tab, and then the Chat button to converse with your teammates!
Once you’re in chat mode, simply tap the Chat button in the lower left, and your device’s keyboard will open up and you can chat away!
TEAM CHESTS
Another perk of joining a team are the daily Team Chests, packed with rewards! Each day, team members receive a key to help unlock the chest. It can be opened daily as long as 10 or more teammates use their keys to unlock it.
Under the Chat Tab, you’ll see the Team Chest meter. You’ll see how many people are needed to help earn keys to unlock the Team Chest:
CHECKING YOUR PROGRESS
As you play and earn Team Points for your team, you can check your progress by tapping the Trophy Icon from your home screen. You’ll see what rank you have, how your team is doing in the tournament, and who on your team is leading the way:
The team to earn the most collective Team Points by the end of the weekly tournament wins a big coin prize divided evenly amongst team members!
The top 3 team point earners on each team earn themselves a small bonus prize for being the best of the best!
ASCENDING THE LEAGUE
Should a team do well enough in each Team League Tournament they may be promoted to the next League earning new In-Game Perks, and bigger overall prizes!
Teams must do their best to keep their standing however! If teams don't do well enough in higher Leagues, they may not move up, or may be demoted to the previous league, losing access to In-Game Perks tied to their previous League.
IN-GAME PERKS
In higher Leagues players can expect new In-Game perks such as:
More bonus brilliance!
Better rewards from the Daily Rewards feature!
Better rewards from the Daily Spinner and Super Spinner!
Better rewards from the daily Team Chest!
Better Solo League Tournament rewards!
The higher a team climbs, the better these Perks get, so do your best to push your team to the greatest heights and become a Wordscapes Solitaire Master!

END OF THE TOURNAMENT
Team Tournaments run alongside Player Tournaments from Sunday at 7:00PM Central Time to the following Sunday at 6:59:59PM Central Time. When the tournament has ended you and your teammates will see where you are in the leagues, collect your rewards, and prepare to compete again in the next week’s Team Tournament!
